Concert Season 2019-2020

The Christmas Story

Across the Sea

Explore the ocean with Composer-in-Residence Bronwyn Edwards and others. Britten homages St. Cecilia, born of the ocean. Two recent masterworks by Mäntyjärvi and Van Dijk tell of oceanic tragedies: a sinking ferry and the European conquest in southern Africa. But the joys of the sea are never far in this concert.
