Thanksgiving, Oktoberfest, All Soul’s Day, back-to-school…cultural events litter the fall, and we will celebrate them with music. As befits an ensemble in the forested Pacific Northwest, we will present several works about our arboreal friends, including I go among trees, a recent work by local composer Giselle Wyers. Brahms’s masterful motet Warum ist das Licht gegeben dem Mühseligen? captures the dark richness of autumn.
